Two Paintings, One Beginning
Someone came across my still life of pears and a bottle and asked me to paint a similar one as a gift for a friend. Some time later, I received a message about the painting that had started this story:
“I came across your painting because you recently made one with pears for my daughter at her request. It is beautiful.”
The message came from her mother, who decided to buy the original painting. The two paintings now live in different homes, but they share more than their subject. Each can bring the other to mind, connecting people through a painting in a meaningful way.
